The Village of Carol Stream has received the Community Policing Award for 2004 from the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police. The Carol Stream Police Department was also named state traffic safety co-champions at an awards ceremony. Carol Stream Police Department is responsible for offering public safety services to its residents and customers that live, work or visit the community. The men and women in the department respond to incidents, prevent such events whenever possible, educates residents and other customers in all areas of public safety and assists those that become victims of crime, accidents or social problems. Carol Stream Police Department has seven programs that include administration/customer service, patrol, investigation, social service, records, traffic and special operations.
