I went here looking for a simple appraisal for insurance reasons, and ended up getting a mini-lesson in chemical structures of gems, as well as a thorough report on the jewelry that could practically serve as a forensics investigation. I've studied chemistry for nearly a decade and he still had things to teach me. The best part was getting to watch him work- if you're interested at all in the process of appraisal, you'll learn a lot. The guy knows his stuff.
