General Info
At the Sacramento Cat Hospital, our veterinarians and team members treat all of our patients with love, dignity, and compassion, as if they were our own. We value the trust you show in letting us guide and mentor you through each stage of your cat’s life. The Sacramento Cat Hospital, established in 1974, was one of the first feline-only veterinary hospitals in the nation. We've been providing personalized, progressive, and innovative veterinary care for 40 years, and we're dedicated to offering modern technology with old-fashioned care. Our caring team members are trained to utilize the newest behavioral information in order to emphasize feline-friendly handling techniques. Our goal is to minimize stress during your cat’s visit to our office, making it a pleasant experience both for you and your feline companion. Our team includes a Diplomate certified in Feline Practice by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP). The ABVP was established in 1978 and is accredited by a special committee of the American Veterinary Medical Association to recognize excellence in clinical practice through certification of species-oriented specialists. We're recognized as a Cat Friendly Practice by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). To be recognized as a Cat Friendly Practice, veterinarians and practice staff must meet specific criteria and maintain a standard of practice including the environment, equipment, handling, and treatment of cats as determined by leaders in the field of feline medicine. The practice must also have at least one "Cat Advocate" on staff who helps ensure adherence to cat friendly standards.
