Carmel Fire Department s mission is to serve and protect the residents, property owners and visitors of its service area from the ravages of fire, arson, accidents, medical emergencies and other manmade or natural incidents when life and property are in jeopardy. The department has more than 150 career fire personnel. It operates about 10 fire stations and covers approximately 50 square mile area. Carmel Fire Department is also responsible for providing emergency fire, medical, tactical rescue and hazardous materials service. Carmel Fire Department s divisions include inspections division, fire suppression operations, training division, search and rescue operations, public education division, Hazmat operations, safety division and emergency medical services division. Carmel Fire Department is located in Carmel, Ind.
