  In 2008, Steve Mickle formally retired from the sales and service of insurance and resides on the north shore of Kauai. Steve lives a healthy, laid back lifestyle and enjoys the consistent temperatures, the beaches, tending to his fruit trees, and friends. For those of you who did not know or forgot, Steve was raised on Oahu and went to St Louis High School in Honolulu before heading to San Diego to attend UCSD in 1974. In 1979, at 23, Steve decided to try sales and self employment and began his insurance career with Prudential Life Insurance Company. In 1980 was awarded western US "Rookie of the Year" and the coveted President's Club status in 1980. In 1983 Steve decided to make a break from Prudential and became an independent broker starting his own agency and staff representing over 50 Insurers in a desire to recommend and enact policies that best fit his clients. Steve has 3 adult children still in San Diego area. While Steve's back never fully recovered from the injury he sustained in 1994, moving to Kauai has proven to be the best medicine.
