General Info

I started my Carlsbad Public Accounting practice in 2001. Over the years, I have used a variety of accounting software. My first version of Peach Tree was on five 5 1/4 inch floppy disks. I signed up and used Net Ledger, now Net Suite, when it came out. I was a user and beta tester of Microsoft's Office accounting. My software of choice has become QuickBooks. I am not just a QuickBooks ProAdvisor but an Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor which requires more rigorous testing. I have been doing tax prep for a long time. I began preparing tax returns for others by hand as a volunteer in the VITA program. I have used a variety of tax preparation software but none are a substitute for knowing the tax laws. Every year I take courses in both Federal income taxes and California income taxes. Congress keeps making the whole tax process more complex.
