Caribou Rehab and Nursing Center, established in 1973, is a more than 65-bed skilled rehabilitation and nursing home offering a wide range of services to suit individual needs. The nursing home works in conjunction with Cary Medical Center. Its nursing facility s services include 24-hour nursing care, therapeutic diets, scheduled activity programs and volunteer visits. Care for Alzheimer s disease and dementia is provided in a separate area with customized activity programs. The skilled nursing and rehabilitation services include in-depth care monitoring by nursing staff and on-site therapy by licensed physical and occupational therapists. The center offers professional hair services at its on-site salon. The other professional services offered by visiting practitioners include podiatry care, speech therapy, and dental and eye care.
