Built in 1882 as a seaside escape for families, the Carroll Villa was built in the Italian villa or American bracketed villa style. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Cocktails served on our porch, garden terrace or sky lit dining room... endless possibilities. The Mad Batter is now open every day. Breakfast and lunch from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dinner from 5 p.m. Happy Hour daily from 5 p.m. The facility is also equipped with private rooms available for special events, banquets, showers, etc. Early Birds - Buy 1 get 1 half price - Sunday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. through June 19, 2008 Stay with us TWO NIGHTS SUNDAY TO THURSDAY from 5-26-08 thru 6-19-08 and receive a complementary bottle of Champagne and (2) passes to the Cape May Bird Observatory. Must mention at time of booking.

The food is good. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The best wait staff are the older women. The young fellows are sluggish. Dinner and music was nice, we brought our kids and did not feel rushed. The waitress was great and attentive and could show the younger breakfast servers what customer service should be. The wait to be seated can be significant especially for breakfast. 100 times better than the more famous flat tasteless pancake place so worth the wait if breakfast out is your thing. Eggs Benedict was perfect and the fresh fruit was fresh and was a nice variety. Waffles and pancakes were well prepared and yummy. Again, we didn't feel rushed. Great place we've gone to for years.

The food and staff here are great. The location is perfect for shopping in Cape May and being not even a block from the beach. We had a great time here at the bar and b&b. Thanks Mark, Kristen.
