Located in Cape Coral, Fla., Ida S. Baker High School is governed by Lee County Public Schools. The school serves more than 600 students annually in grades nine through 12. It offers various regular, honors, advanced placement and dual enrolment courses. The school also offers a wide variety of athletic and extracurricular activities for students. Ida S. Baker High School provides career-related courses in several areas, including medical and biotechnology, public service, business and technology, engineering and manufacturing, and building and construction. The school s academic curriculum also includes arts, business, health, English, physical education, math, reading, science and foreign languages. It offers a variety of student services through trained counselors, school resource officers, nurses, psychologists and reading coaches. The school also offers classes in various electives, such as journalism, computer applications, aerobics, Spanish, music theory, musical theater, orchestra and aerobics.
