BRIDES BEWARE!!!We are a B&B/Wedding Venue...........you can't expect a B&B to not book out their rooms when you do not book the entire venue. You were given the option to book the entire venue (all the rooms) so you would have exlusive use at a discounted rate in our package of $3000 for the entire weekend. You chose the basic $1500 package that includes a 1 hour ceremony and 4 hour reception. You are having an outdoor wedding and are able to use the barn. So yes, you are correct there could be other guests during your wedding if you do not book the entire venue. Propery managers give decorating advice and suggestions for how Brides can deocrate the space. They are merely suggestions and ideas. The barn will be clear of any decorations prior to a Bride's wedding that she does not want in there. This does not happen five months prior to the date of the wedding but is completed a few days before event. You also stated that you REQUESTED the only handicap/ground floor room available. When you booked your wedding you did not book any rooms. You later asked if you could book the cottage for your pastor and his wife and I told you we could do that at a later date. The cottage is NOT handicap friendly or on a ground floor entrance. The only handicap friendly room we have is in Wing 1 along with 7 other bedrooms in the main home that you have a choice from for your 2 guests that want to stay on site. The cottage is now unavailable to ALL guests as my brother and his family live in it as they were affected by Hurricane Harvey and are onsite as the property managers (again typical in a B&B). "You expressed Concern" the barn wasn't decorated, the trees didn't have lights on them, etc...during the open house and the venue looked the same as it did the month prior. It will continue to look the same until the day before a wedding. Brides are resposible for all decorating which was explained to you in the contract; there is no decorating involved.When your group toured someone in your party other than yourself was extremely rude to my family who toured your group during our open house. To go even further your group was complaining that there was a baby crib in the living room for my brother and sister in law to safely keep her 3 month old while they were giving tours. You complained the house looked to "Lived IN" yet the other 7 brides that toured that day say the house was meticoulsy clean. Your "LIved IN" complaint was the baby crib, my mom and her friend sitting in the family room with the baby and her elderly dog who was laying on the floor, oh and "The dog in the yard" that was tied up. We are a ranch.....we have cows, geese, and dogs.......we are pet friendly for Brides and have been asked many times if we would allow their dogs to be a part of their special day as many other venues do not allow it.We have great reviews from guests, retreat groups, & Brides that have used our venue for their getaway or special day. We go above and beyond to ensure our guests and Brides have a wonderful experience. We know that planning a wedding or large event can be stressful and pride ourselves on taking care of our guests needs and our reviews show that we go great lenths to ensure that happens!
