- DrywallsIn Casper, Wyo., all eyes were on the 92-year-old Natrona County High School. Unlimited Designs was on site for three years restoring its historical elements, blending old with new in a complicated $138-million, six-phase project. The original parts were commonly created using early versions of casting plaster and either horse hair or burlap to give the parts structural strength. Over time, in many cases, the horse hair and burlap would decompose. In the process of pulling molds from these parts, great care and skill were needed to ensure that we did not lose the original shape and detail of the existing parts. Unlimited Designs would like to thank Standard Drywall, AP Wyoming (the General Contractor), & Bassetti (the Architect) for exceptional teamwork, leadership and support in making the Natrona High School another successful restoration project.

- DemolitionConstructed in 1911, the renovation of this 480,000 square foot building consisted of major demolition and structural upgrading to comply with current building and seismic design codes. Existing foundations were upgraded and new structural concrete walls were installed throughout the building. The interior underwent a complete remodel, including the completely renovated Grand Lobby, a large screen theatre, a chapel, a computer center, office and meeting space, and a restaurant. A four-level subterranean parking garage was also added. The Hotel’s terra-cotta exterior was fully restored and the conversion to office and meeting space effectively preserved the historical landmark.
- LandscapingThe plans, which are designed to satisfy Provo City’s Training Facilities Zone requirements, included three new six-story buildings, enhanced outdoor space for missionary use, 300 underground parking stalls and improved landscaping to beautify the area. We were so excited to work on this project and to work with some great general contractors.
- PatiosSituated on an elevated 15 acre plot in rural Utah, this 50′ high temple is modeled after a famous devotional palace in India called Kusum Sarovar (temple on a lake of flowers). It has a main dome 25′ in diameter surrounded by 12 other domes. There are 108 arches and columns, sculptures, and murals, as well as open patios, colonnades, gardens, fountains and an outdoor stage and amphitheater that accommodate crowds of up to 5,000 at a time. Unlimited Designs manufactured and installed all of the GFRC on the exterior of the building.
