The City of Canton Sanitation Department collects refuse from nearly 30,000 structures each week. Its waste collectors and operators utilize residential and commercial packers for collecting the waste daily. The sanitation department utilizes a transfer station as a method of disposal of its solid waste. The city s street and sanitation department has formed a partnership called Operation Clean Team that picks up anything the residents put out to curb the hazardous and dangerous items.
