At Arrii’s Learning Academy, our primary goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children and their families. The goals of all our classrooms is to enhance each child’s self-image and self-respect, to celebrate the children’s diversity, to encourage cooperation and respect for others, and to prepare children for school emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Teachers work in partnership with parents to foster children’s development. Each child at Arrii’s Learning Academy is learning to master skills in each of the following areas: social and emotional development, cognitive development, and physical development. Children learn these skills through the creative play activities that make up the weekly curriculum in each classroom. We know that children learn best when they are enjoying themselves and are motivated from within themselves. We design learning activities that are fun and stimulating, in order to best promote children’s growth and development. The classrooms are set up to offer children a variety of play and learning opportunities and environments, which include quiet cozy spaces for reading and listening, bright exciting spaces for active exploration and dramatic play, stimulating space for discovery and experimentation, and outdoor space for active physical play and interactions with nature and the environment. Arrii’s Learning Academy hires a caring, diverse, professional staff of teachers, teaching assistants, and directors. All teachers are certified by the Department of Early Education and Care, have certificates/degrees and college coursework in child development and education, and are certified in First Aid and CPR. All teachers participate in ongoing training, supervision, and education.
