The Arc of the Farmington Valley, also known as FAVARH was founded in 1958. It offers community-oriented services related to individuals with disabilities. The agency offers mental health care, adult day services, assisted living and skilled nursing, as well as speech, respite and occupational therapies. In addition, the Arc of the Farmington Valley provides long- and short-term care, residential support, home safety evaluation, pain management, and hospice and respite care services. It also offers certified services, nutritional assistance and medicine administration for seniors. The organization operates various specialty programs, counseling, recreational events, and educational and training services with a focus on mentally retarded individuals and people with disabilities.
