As a reply to mcpgrimes below, furnaces can't supply 48v, only 24. I know this from being an electrician. Not sure where that number came from .....

Very poor service from McMurray Cooling and Heating. A serviceman came to repair our humidifier and check our furnace. Three days later we had no heat. The serviceman returned & couldn't solve the problem. New man came the next day & told me that both furnace & control board in the humidifier had shorted out, & he didn't know why. He repaired the furnace $268.16 & said he'd get back to me with a price for the humidifier. No word, so I called another HVAC company. Their serviceman came & was aghast. He said our furnace problem stemmed from the original serviceman incorrectly wiring the humidifier, sending 48 volts of power to a humidifier that required 24 volts. This blew the control board & the solenoid board & had 120 volts running constantly that should have been wired to the humidifier terminal & running intermittently. The bill:$536.00 to repair the damage that McMurray had done. I requested reimbursement for damage caused but received no reply. DISSATISFIED!

The employees are great! They serviced my furnace last year. Efficient, clean and professional. This year they worked with me and 'troubled-shooted' the problem on the phone which solved the problem and saved me from a sevice call (it was 11 pm at night). Thank you, Highly recommend. This company was in charge of the install of the HVAC in my house, completed in 2009. Recently, I never noticed that one of my rooms had a relatively low output of air. I called them and asked them for help in resolving this. They came out, measured air volume in all rooms, adjusted dampers and gave me some much needed training on proper preventative maintenance and upkeep of my furnace and ducts. Did I mention my call came 3.5 years after moving in! I expected them to laugh when I called, but they didn't and not only came out but were an incredible help. The two young men were very professional: polite, personable and respectful of my home. I would recommend this company to anyone. Happy in Pittsburgh's North Side
