At first, this company seemed very good. Helpful, friendly, easy to deal with at a time that is very emotional. But that was all a diversion and deception. There is no way that they split the revenue as advertised and we received FAR less than we should have. After hearing from friends and neighbors about the large crowd and how cash was flowing in hot and heavy and the houseful of newish furniture that was in excellent shape the garages full of tools (saws, drills, planers, mowers as well as tool cabinets full of hand tools) and a kitchen full of small appliances and kitchen items galore. This was a 9000 square foot house chalk full of salable items. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

This supposed Estate Sale Group were the worst people we have ever dealt with. Very unprofessional! They were more interested in how much money were going to make than, helping us disolve the estate of our parents. They added Dollar Store merchandise to the sale and expected people to pay to buck for them. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!!!

I was very disappointed in the estate sale. I was lied to from the beginning, was promised supplies for marking items and areas not for sale and didn't get them, I had to make up my own signs and tape them to areas not for sale. The Golden employees ignored my signs and entered the areas and took things that were supposed to remain with the house. I was given a quote and received way below the amount quoted. While a former neighbor told me what a success the sale was, Ms. Golden claimed the sale was not successful and that was why the amount I received was so low. I was told Golden people would come into the house on the evening before the sale to set up, Ms. Golden called me and said she had to have access to the house at 1:00 because her employees needed to get kids off school buses. The employees, when they arrived were all at least 55 years old. I was basically pushed out of the house before I was ready to leave with my belongings. I issued a complaint with the BBB.

We had the opportunity to visit the house before the sale and were very much impressed with the manner in which you organized and laid out the household goods, clothing, furniture, tools, food, and miscellaneous items through out the house. We also had the opportunity to visit after the sale, and what a challenge you had to get the place cleaned out. We appreciate your dedication to this work and your drive to the completion of selling the total job including the cleanup of the house. Our sale was not properly advertised and Golden Estates provided terrible directions to the public. Golden Estates employees got lost finding the house the day of the sale.Verbal promises made before the contract was signed were not kept. A piece of gold jewelry disappeared before the sale. Sales were very poor. Golden Estates kept many valuable unsold items. Garage sales or charity donations are a definite alternative.
