Mercy Flight Central provides helicopter transport in the states of New York and Pennsylvania. In addition, it provides fixed-wing airplane transport throughout the United States and Canada. Its staff includes a pilot, flight nurse and flight paramedic, and offers services, such as interfacility transport, 24-hour a day medical control support and an emergency response program. The organization provides training program in the areas of air medical utilization, landing zone safety and critical care medical transport. Its helicopter service is approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services. Mercy Flight Central has bases of operation in Canandaigua, Ontario County, and Marcellus, N.Y.
