The Department of Public Works is managed by the city of Canandaigua in New York. The department is responsible for the maintenance of streets, sidewalks and storm sewers. It offers pickup solutions for garbage, recyclable products, and garden and yard waste items for residential properties. The Department of Public Works also provides snow removal services. The department issues permits for excavation projects, as well as organizes group tours to water and sewage treatment facilities.
