i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended becauseWe visited this place on Sunday June 1st, 2014 just a day or so after Robert Irvine was there. We first went out to the deck, and what we seen there made my skin crawl. The bartender came running out with a plate of wings saying "I put someone else wings in her box". I also heard him say "I need to hurry, I don't want them see me". Both he and the lady with the take out box proceeded to swap the wings in the container with the ones on the plate. Not once but two times while doing this we saw him (the bartender) lick his fingers, then pick up another wing. We returned to the hostess station and told the lady we were leaving and why, she and her boss insisted we stay and sit in the dining room, and offered us a complimentary drink. Once in the dining room our server was very nice, however service was very, very slow, much slower then it should have been for what we ordered. First we split an order of boneless buffalo wings with their blue cheese. The the boneless wings were very good, I really liked the sauce, but the blue cheese was very thin and watery nothing impressive at all. I really felt like the wait to get them was a bit longer then it should have been, but not nearly as long as the wait to get the rest of our food. Most restaurants would not keep you waiting like that between courses. We both had mussels in some type of tomato base and found them to be just okay, but nothing we would order again. Although we did each receive a free drink, they first charged me for them and I had to remind our server they were offered to us if we'd stay. She then returned with a new bill, minus the two drinks. I would say it was over all marginal service, for mediocre food, we were there for a total of one hour and fifty minutes, much longer then we expected for lunch. We'll be back up there for a few days in August but I think we'll pass on the Country Cow In a reply from The Country Cow: "Your dining time was a little longer than expected but not unusual for a couple Grand Marniers on the house, appetizer and a couple 2lb bowls of the $7 Sunday mussels special." To which I say: I'm sorry but if nearly two hours is "not unusual" to share an appetizer and have a bowl of mussels for lunch because of waiting, then this place has other issues. Let us not forget that I paid for our meals, and the drinks were offered to keep us from walking out after the disgusting display by their bartender and not for the poor service and not so good food..
