Campbellsville Industries for formally incorporated in 1955. However, the company was previously in business as a work-study program for students attending Campbellsville College. Students could earn money towards their education by building lectern, pew, Bible school craft supplies, bulletin boards and display racks. Campbellsville students began building church steeples, and soon the church industry gave the company the nickname The Steeple People. Campbellsville has more than 15,000 installations throughout the United States, Canada and more than five foreign countries. Products include steeples, balustrades, picket railing, baptisteries, bulletin boards, clocks, cupolas, column, cornices, crosses, domes, finials, louvers, towers, urns and weather vanes. The company is located in Campbellsville, Ky.
