My life's passions include honest self-examination and personal betterment, and I am blessed to be able to exercise these passions every day when I work with my clients. As an independent contractor for Safe Harbor Christian Counseling, I counsel individuals and couples from a predominantly, though not exclusively, faith-based perspective. My counseling style is integrative and customized to meet the individual needs of each of my clients. I draw most frequently from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients confront unhealthy thought patterns and alter behaviors to improve mood and self-image. I have had consistent success in counseling couples by helping them improve communication skills and gain a greater understanding of each other. The decision to seek counseling is often difficult as it involves being vulnerable and confronting sensitive issues. I pride myself in my natural ability to make my clients feel comfortable discussing such issues by providing a warm and nonjudgemental counseling environment.
