Area Agency on Aging, Region 9 is a nonprofit organization offering various services to older adults, including personal care, household chore services, emergency response systems, home-delivered meals, home medical equipment and supplies, adult day care and transportation. The organization provides in-home services to its PASSPORT program consumers through registered nurses and licensed social workers. The agency s program is funded by the Ohio Department of Aging and accepts referrals from hospitals, family members, friends, physicians and social service agencies. It also organizes training programs for homemakers and home health aides by qualified registered nurses through lectures, videos and classroom instructions. AAA9 serves Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson, Muskingum and Tuscarawas counties, and is headquartered in Byesville, Ohio.
