Idenix Pharmaceuticals, established in 1998 and headquartered in Cambridge, Mass., is a developer and provider of drugs for the treatment of life-threatening infectious diseases, such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and human immunodeficiency virus. It provides a wide range of products, including Valtorcitabine, Telbivudine, and Valopicitabine, and also has a HIV research program. Idenix s main drug for the treatment of hepatitis C is Valopicitabine, and Telbivudine is the drug for treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis B.
