Semtech acquired Xemics in June 2005. The acquisition of Xemics, a fabless developer of ultra-low power analog, radio frequency and digital integrated circuits, complements Semtech s existing power management business through its design experience. Its experience ranges throughout its core technologies, which includes sensor interfacing/data acquisition, reduced instruction set computer microcontrollers, radio frequency transceivers and audio codecs. These capabilities are aimed at adding value in next generation, battery-powered wireless and sensing applications. Semtech is located in Camarillo, Calif.
