I've been a co-owner of Camarillo Travel since 1979 and it's been a wild ride. We've survived airline strikes, cruise line bankruptcies, the elimination of airline commission on ticketing, bird flu and 9/11. But we've emerged stronger and have had the privilege of getting to know and work with all of our wonderful clients! This business just gets in your blood... I've been to all the continents except Antarctica and have learned much about other cultures and countries. I am a Certified Travel Consultant, a Niche Cruise Specialist, a Small Ship Partner with Cruise West, a World's Leading Cruise Lines' Vacation Expert and have achieved Commodore status with Princess Cruises. I love cruising, Europe and any place tropical. Our staff have an accumulated total of 247 years in the travel business. They have attended hundreds of destination seminars, taken untold hours of computer training and have been everywhere in the world. What could be more boring than growing up in Simi Valley? It's hard to imagine the wide world, and what you might do in it! You can only dream of experiencing an evening dining with convivial friends in an Italian villa, windows wide to the warm summer air while an operatic tenor strolls just outside those windows singing an aria. When your job enables you to visit places like this, you know you have chosen the right profession. Seeing places like this is what makes the world wide, and helping those moments happen is what the travel industry is all about. After 29 years of planning trips of all kinds, there is still nothing more exciting than sharing someone's thrill at anticipating a long vacation, reunion, or even a short get away.
