Advent Home Youth Services, founded in 1983, is a nonprofit organization that aims to provide a safe environment for teenagers who have learning, attitude and behavioral problems, such as school dismissal, low self-image and family problems. It focuses on physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual growth of the teenagers. It has a residential group home, school and counseling facility for 12- to 16-year-old boys with special learning differences, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorders. The group home can accommodate more than 30 students. The organization also provides individual and group counseling, accelerated schooling, work therapy and outdoor education services. Its staff includes child care workers, instructors, home supervisors, school teachers, administration staff, social workers and work coordinators. Advent Home Youth Services is located in Calhoun, Tenn.
