Gordon County Schools is a public school system that operates various elementary, middle and high schools. It offers academic classes to students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The system s school curricula include English, language arts, math, science, social studies, reading, art, music, career and technology studies, and health and physical education. Gordon County Schools maintains various departments that include student services, human resources, maintenance, finance, technology, teaching and learning. It has a combined annual enrollment of 6,000 students, as well as maintains a board of educations. The system s schools support several sports and extracurricular activities, such as football, volleyball, golf, basketball, softball, cheerleading, baseball, wrestling, cross-country, and track and field.
