Shade-Central City High School, governed by the Shade-Central City School District, offers a variety of educational and extracurricular opportunities. The school organizes various sports activities, including basketball, wrestling, volleyball, football, golf, soccer, baseball, softball, and track and field. Shade-Central City High School maintains a library and offers an accelerated reader program. It coordinates extracurricular activities, such as band, student council, scholastic quiz, and ski and drama clubs. Shade-Central City High School additionally provides membership opportunities to students in the National Honor Society.
