Taylor County Middle School enrolls more than 400 students in grades seven and eight. The school has a staff of over 20 regular, exploratory and special education teachers. Its academic curriculum includes history, English, science, music, art, physical education, reading, writing, social studies and math. Taylor County Middle School offers special education services for students with disabilities. Its students participate in various sports activities, such as track and field, basketball, softball, cheerleading and football. The school operates the ACT Club, which conducts activities related to art, culture and travel. Located in Butler, Ga., Taylor County Middle School is a part of Taylor County Schools, which governs several educational institutions.
