Burlington Recreation Department, located in Burlington, Mass., is a public agency under the jurisdiction of the Burlington Recreation Commission, a five-member policy-making board by the people of the town. The department offers recreational programs and events for people of all ages and maintains the town's parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and school grounds. The department is considered to be one of the best municipal recreation departments in Massachusetts. Its programs include music and art, fitness, dancing, sports, summer activities, adult education, tours, leagues, workshops, adventure programs and trips. The department s sports facilities include baseball fields, tennis courts, softball fields, basketball courts, wading pool, sand volleyball courts, soccer fields, outdoor running track, playgrounds, lighted fields and courts, and playgrounds.
