  Dr. Matzer received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical doctor degree from Yale University. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She completed a cardiology fellowship at UC Irvine and a cardiac imaging fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. At Cedars-Sinai, she was awarded the prestigious American Heart Association fellowship award.
