The Burbank Police Department is a community-oriented law enforcement agency that operates patrol, investigation, administrative services and special operations divisions. Its patrol division receives and responds to phone calls for emergency services, conducts timely initial investigations and appropriate follow-up and prepares documentation on phone calls for service and police reports. The Burbank Police Department operates a full-service investigation division that gathers evidence to assist in the prosecution of criminal offenses. In addition, the department offers parking control and citation management services. The Burbank Police Department has a special operations division that is comprised of traffic, record and animal shelter bureaus. The department has an air support unit that provides airborne crime suppression, responds to crimes and other critical incidents and coordinates field responses. The Burbank Police Department operates an outreach center that provides assistance to families and at-risk youths. It is located in Burbank, Calif.
