The Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum is an regional history museum and is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The facility is ADA accessible. Open year-round (but check our website for winter reduced hours or holiday closures!). Galleries tell the story of the area through Natural History, Native American, Frontier Military, the Johnson County Cattle War, the Basque Culture, and early life in Buffalo. Featuring a carriage house with many wagons and a 1916 homestead cabin. The Museum Store offers unique and high-quality items, many are made by area artisans.
