General Info
The center is open Monday through Friday from 7am until 5:30pm and offers a variety of programming for children ages 8 weeks to 12 years old. Families may choose to utilize the center on a part-time or full-time basis. The center is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and complies with the regulations established by that agency for the operation of child day care centers. Our program is based on the practices and activities that are developmentally appropriate for children of each age group. We follow a child-centered philosophy to promote the education, growth and development of the whole child. Each child is cared for according to his/her individual needs, personality and abilities. The center upholds the standard of quality set for early childhood programs by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the American Montessori Society (AMS.) Lessons based on Montessori methods and materials are presented to preschool children ages 3 to 6. The classroom environments are carefully prepared to encourage the exploration and discovery that promotes self-esteem and empowers learning.

This is a wonderful program. Our first son attended from birth until Kindergarten and now our youngest son is enrolled. We love the teachers and are delighted with the preschool education our children have received. We are especially impressed that our oldest son started Kindergarten knowing his alphabet, colors, numbers, shapes, continents and manners!

I disagree. These are employees who were fired and continue to cause problems. This is a fine daycare. The director is has high standards regarding the employees.. When she is aware of problems with teachers and helpers that are disruptive to the children they are removed. The majority of the employees have been there for a long time. I visit this daycare every week and have never found any of the current employees be anything but kind and caring to the children. I'm sure if there they were not the children themselves would not want to come back.

It is unfortunate that an ex-employee is using this review site to tarnish the reputation of a nice little neighborhood program.

A small and cozy setting with a friendly , caring staff. We love the individual attention that our children receive there and all of the learning activities that are planned for them each day.

I disagree, I've found that my daughter (age 3) has excelled academically. This daycare is very focused on development and structured daily routines. I believe it is a great environment for children.

The review before me is by a previous employee who was involved in a multi-employee drama so that is why she is name dropping. Please disregard her review. But honestly, the daycare is what you expect: a cheap alternative to caregiving. The manager will tell you about all the fun activities your kids will be involved in daily but to be frank, they are merely watched and are free to do whatever. Barely any imagination or education encouragement involved by the staff which is sad.
