Founded in 1954 in Encino, Calif., El Torito is a pioneer in the California full-service Mexican casual dining restaurant segment. Operational for more than 50 years, it is one of the largest Mexican restaurant brands in California and operates franchise locations in Japan, Turkey and the Middle East. Operating at over 65 locations, El Torito's menu features regional specialties, including fajitas, handmade tamales, enchiladas, tacos and traditional Mexican combination platters. Salads and soups are also served for lunch and dinner. It offers a selection of upscale margaritas, in addition to a full range of beer and cocktails. El Torito also offers take-out and delivery, catering and in-house banquet services. It additionally offers Taco Tuesday programs where guests can enjoy grilled chicken and steak tacos in the cantina. El Torito maintains a branch in Buena Park, Calif.
