(Shortened review). If there was a 0 star option, I would give her that! I turned her into the Better Business Bureau. I sent her a 3 page letter complaint and CCed the BBB. My certified letter to her came back, she refused it. Back in 2010 we contacted her to hand make my wedding dress for my wedding date in Oct. She came off as a good christian woman and prayed before our sessions. I drew the dress I wanted. She seemed to not have much time for me and each session was not very productive and I was NOT liking what was happening to my dress with each session. Then when I wanted a train on my dress, she protested, but said she would do it. Well when I saw it I was mortified, it looked exactly like a beaver tail!! I cried after we left, kept getting angry as hell...this dress was costing us thousands!. We had given her a check for $1,000 that day (dress was not done, this was just another amount she wanted as work progressed). I told my husband to cancel the check, that I was so unsatisfied and she would have to fix the dress first. So he did and she called us immediately the next morning and demanded money. My husband was so stressed out and not as tough as me, but to please him, I let him do what he wanted (he now regrets it so much). Rita wanted $1,000 in CASH. He drove to her and gave her the cash money. Then after he left, she put my dress and material in a bag and hung it outside her door and asked him to come pick it up!!! My dress was so not done and my wedding was in just a short time. I was now royally screwed. Luckily, he has a family member that can sew, and thank GOD, she was able to finish my dress. But it was so messed up already, she could only do what she could in the extremely short time we had left. We were out thousands! She literally ruined the most important day of a womans life. I cant bare to look at the pictures or the ugly dress in the closet. I am going to have it ripped up and remake a dress that wont make me cry.
