General Info

My goal as a professional counselor is to build warm, open, authentic, and non-judgmental partnerships with my clients. My theoretical orientation is somewhat eclectic, however I tend to use a lot of cognitive behavioral and solution focused techniques in my practice. My treatment approach is unique for each client as we work together to reach your goals. My vision in the helping process is to assist my clients in learning how to help themselves! I believe an important piece of the counseling process is for individuals to learn how to listen effectively and learn to trust themselves. I want to see all of my clients reach their goals, grow, and be successful! My counseling experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with residential treatment facilities, Mental Health and Mental Retardation Organizations (MHMR), and as a professional school counselor in public schools. I also have experience teaching counseling and counseling education courses in university settings.
