Founded in 1966, ORC Industries is a nonprofit organization that provides employment opportunities for people with disabilities in manufacturing and assembly operations and related services. The company s divisions include specialized sewing of apparel for the armed forces, cutting and spreading of material, quality inspection, woodworking, light assembly, packaging, sorting, embroidery, plastic injection molding, warehousing and logistics, canoe building and snowshoe manufacturing. ORC Industries offers a range of products, such as softshell jackets and pants, windshirts, hard shell rainsuits, field tarpaulins and tents. It manufactures canoes, Bell Canoe and snowshoes, Redfeather Snowshoes. ORC Industries has locations in Arcadia and Brownsville, Texas and La Crosse and Westby, Wis.
