Yet they realize his commitment and concern for them. This is shown by the students loyalty and belief in the school and all it's sensei's. They have given my child focus, Self respect, and an awareness of great their potential is. My younger son has been attending Shotokan Karate Center for 3 years. He loves taking all his classes from Sensei James. His weapons class and gear class are his favorites. My older son who is now 10 years old has been receiving physical therapy since he is 6 months. He started with Sensei James and his balance and coordination has improved tremendously. Now his physical therapist has closed his case. I can't tell you how happy we all are. Patricia

My name is Renee Jacobs and I have been with Shotokan Karate Center for 2 yrs now and I enjoy every class I take! James is an awesome teacher and is very personable and helpful. It is a pleasure to take classes that are both fun and always different. He teaches,explains and provides the motivation that we all need. It is very different from traditional gyms. I get the whole package at SKC, amazing people like Jaimie, motivation, a warm, comfortable and happy environment and an amazing workout. My husband and I are so impressed with Sensei James and Sensei Jamie that we commute 20 minutes each way, 4 times a week in order for our children to attend classes. We enrolled our kids (after checking out other schools) immediately after speaking with each of the Senseis. They are wonderfully committed to their kids and it's obvious when we watch the classes. They embody all of the values we hope to instill in our kids; respect, hard work, honor and accountability. The relationship they have with the children is nothing short of amazing. As a result of their guidance and teaching (outside of the dojo as well) I'm watching my son and daughter grow into respectful, strong and capable young people. They're even focusing better in school! Well worth the commute !!
