The 66th Precinct, a part of the New York Police Department, intervenes in cases of theft, robbery, serious assault, sex crime, child abuse, narcotics trafficking and domestic violence in New York. The precinct governs various residential and commercial areas, as well as more than 300 religious institutions in the Midwood and Kensington communities in New York. The 66th Precinct assists residents in tenant and landlord disputes, elevator issues, heating and water concerns and lease renewals. Located in Brooklyn, N.Y., the precinct also supports issues related to education, housing and development, child welfare, senior citizens, transportation, and health and human services.
