"M D ELEVATOR" is their DOB-registered name now. MD's negligence led to sheared rails, bent door rollers, 3 DOB violations (none of which they ever could cure thus risking our liabilities, time, licensure, money, etc.). I'm the manager of our condo board. We acquired this company for elevator maintenance from our irresponsible building constructor, the only such vendor on a list of 30+. We were right to fire all of those vendors the constructor recommended since all were irresponsible in the maintenance phase but we never had the time or energy as managers of the building to find a replacement firm. Bad decision. After 33 days of elevator out of service and thus firing MD for negligence and incompetence after they refused to even communicate basics like when they were actually on site (spent hours chasing them regarding when they'd be here playing phone tag with 3 of their folk, it was madness), we had to hide all the one-copy-only blueprints for the elevator and lock the building doors and elevator mechanical doors to stop their unwanted non-credible service after we discovered physical evidence of their hiding bad news: their attempt to diagnose the controller board wiped all programming which required a $500/h for 4h of work to reprogram from the manufacturer (who thankfully had our original program on file), they hid the rail condition of bent and broken rails which caused scary noises for our occupants and was quieted down by pouring excess oil on the rail for years (atrocious damage occured, we're in the process of wholesale replacement which is far costlier than proper maintenance), they hid times on site never ever telling us when unless we spotted them actually in the building, and on and on. They were so bad communicating, we couldn't even stop their coming for 6 days and needed 30 days to fire them after which they proved they actually got the clue. They wouldn't even give their real business name for DOB licensure which I noted above, a hard-to-search one for especially in a Google sense to perhaps blunt bad reviews which would all expose their performance. Even their sending invoices for work and orders for payment for parts were delayed such as to delay repairs and timely maintenance and everything. We incurred at least 3 DOB violations and had to spend time on the DOB site just to know about our own building's elevator problems, so bad was MD. This company is truly atrocious and I hope all avoid them, their performance is so dangerously negligent as to risk occupants.
