  Dr. Katz graduated from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education and received his medical degree from SUNY Medical School at Stony Brook. He was honored as Outstanding Intern of the Year in General Surgery at Cabrini MedicalCenter. He completed his Orthopedic Residency at St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center in New York and his Spine Fellowship was completed at Spine Institute at Seaton Medical Center in California. He holds medical licenses in New York, New Jersey and California.

  Practice areas of Dr. Victor Katz is a board certified fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon. He is a graduate of The Sophie Davis seven year medical program at City College. He is board certified in both Orthopedic Surgery and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He completed his fellowship training in Spine Surgery in San Francisco California. He is trained in all the latest procedures in spine surgery including artificial disk replacements and in minimally invasive spine procedures which can be done at ambulatory surgical centers and do not require hospital stay. The goal of his practice is first to establish an accurate diagnosis and then to provide the most appropriate care for each patient. Surgery is is usually not the only option.
