Dr. Jay Desai is a top-ranking New York City gastroenterologist providing the highest-quality care for patients at New York Gastroenterology Associates on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Desai specializes in colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease (including treatment of Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C), and other gastroenterologic conditions. In addition to performing standard endoscopy and colonoscopy, he also performs: Anorectal manometry studies for issues of constipation and incontinence BRAVO pH monitoring studies for acid reflux disease SIBO breath testing for bacterial overgrowth Video capsule endoscopy for small bowel disease Dr. Desai prides himself on taking the time to listen to his patients, and working with them to provide the highest quality healthcare.
