- X-raysHere in Family Dental Care, we take great pleasure in announcing that our office now utilizes DEXIS® Digital X-ray in the taking of dental X-rays. - Fluoride TreatmentThe Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple and painless. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. The Zoom! clinician then applies the proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel, which is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment competes the procedure. You'll be amazed with the results. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure.
- Dental SealantsFissure sealants can last for years and they can usually be replaced if they fall out or wear out, providing that there is no decay underneath They can protect teeth from decay
- VeneersLUMINEERS are contact lens-thin and are placed over existing teeth without having to remove painful tooth structure (unlike traditional veneers.) LUMINEERS is the painless, permanent cosmetic solution for stained, chipped, discolored or misaligned teeth.
- Crowns* Another impression is then taken of the teeth and any gaps, which the dental technician uses to make the bridge. In the meantime, a plastic temporary bridge or temporary crown may be fitted
- BridgesA bridge is used to replace missing teeth by fixing the replacement to the natural teeth at each side of the gap. Bridges are made of metal and porcelain or sometimes just porcelain.
- Dental Bonding
- Root Canal TreatmentYour dentist may apply a sheet of thin rubber around the tooth, which will be attached to a metal or plastic frame outside the mouth. This is to ensure that the root canal is kept dry during the treatment
- Deep CleaningScaling and Root planing is used to clean the parts of teeth, which are below the gum-line and cannot be reached with a toothbrush. This can result in gum disease and gum 'pockets' can start to develop around the teeth. This means that the bone supporting the teeth can become lost. Root planning is used to clean out the gum 'pockets' and remove plaque and tartar from the tooth roots.
- Dentures* Your dentist may advise replacing your missing teeth with a denture or bridge, or a different denture, to change the way your jaw sits
- Dental ImplantsThe tooth needs to be re-implanted as soon as possible. If you can, place the tooth gently back into the socket and splint it in place with aluminum foil. If this is not possible, DO NOT RINSE OR PLACE THE TOOTH IN WATER. Place it in some cold milk and attend the practice immediately. Usually it is possible to re-implant the tooth, although the success rate is lowered if the tooth is out of the mouth for more than an hour.

In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter. Zoom! Whitening is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results. The convenience of Zoom! in comparison to days of wearing trays and gradual whitening makes it the perfect choice for the busy individual.
- Cosmetic DentistryThis represents the state of the art in cosmetic dentistry today. Porcelain veneers are handcrafted by a laboratory artist to create a beautiful porcelain covering for individual teeth. They are as strong as your own natural teeth and can be a permanent solution to most cosmetic dental problems. They will not discolor over time and resist chipping or fracture. Porcelain veneers will successfully treat gaps, chips, excessively small or large teeth, discolored or "antibiotic" stained teeth, or even straighten misaligned or crooked teeth in as little as 2 visits.
