Dr. Paul Vastola, who has been in practice for over 20 years, is an experienced, friendly, compassionate, and highly trained Adult and Pediatric Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist. Dr. Vastola graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Molecular Biology and went on to receive his Medical Degree from the Boston University School of Medicine where he was on The National Deans List and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his residency at the NY Hospital—Cornell Medical Center for General Surgery and at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital for Otolaryngology. He then pursued a Fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Baylor College of Medicine—Texas Children's Hospital.Dr. Vastola has authored numerous presentations and publications on topics related to Pediatric Otolaryngology and has also provided his skills and expertise to multiple Medical Missions overseas. He is board-certified in Medicine by the State of New York and by the American Board of Otolaryngology. A seasoned ENT, Dr. Vastola joined ENTA from Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where for 20 years he served as the Director of Pediatric Otolaryngology, as well as from SUNY-HSCB and the Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He has continued to contribute to the medical literature, recently coauthoring a ground breaking work relating inflammation of the tonsils and adenoid to asthma in pediatric patientsDr. Vastola is eager to help the wider community receive the care they deserve. He is uncompromising in his dedication to the well-being of his patients. He is well versed in the latest Pediatric medical technology and innovation in ENT, and believes that effective communication and counseling are paramount to providing optimal patient care. His areas of expertise include Pediatric Otolaryngology, Otitis Media (middle ear infections), Tonsil and Adenoid Disease, Neck Masses (e.g. thyroglossal duct cysts, branchial cleft cysts), Upper Airway Disorders, Sinus Disease, as well as Snoring and Sleep Apnea. He works closely with the practices expert Audiology staff to provide the most thorough hearing testing.Above all else, Dr. Vastola truly enjoys getting to know his patients and spending the time necessary to cultivate a customized treatment plan that enables them to feel better, establishing long-lasting relationships with him. Dr. Vastola sees pediatric and adult patients at ENTA's state-of-the-art Brooklyn Heights and Staten Island clinical locations. In addition to his busy practice, Dr. Vastola enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

I'm a longtime patient at ENT and Allergy, but this was my first visit with Dr. Vastola. My visit was great — Dr. Vastola quickly assessed and addressed my problem. He suggested a follow-up hearing test to the one I had a year-and-a-half ago and compared and explained the two sets of results. He suggested a follow-up visit in six months to keep on top of things. I'm looking forward to my next visit with Dr. Vastola! I highly recommend him!

I had profuse pressure and pain in one of my ears for a few days - Dr. V saw there was a blockage and resolved it immediately and painlessly. Dr. V should have been the first doctor I saw, not the second! I’m so appreciative, I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.
