Hello! I am Roberto Garcia, the new United States Air Force Recruiter for Staten Island. I am excited to work with the people of Staten Island and to aide its men and women, between the ages 18-39, in seeing how the Air Force can help them achieve their goals. The Air Force is currently seeking people with special interest in mechanics, prior military servicemen and women, and high school juniors under the AFRAP program.

Here is my Facebook page URL https://www.facebook.com/Recruiter13CD5 . Go and check out the page and like it. I am in the process of getting the rights to update it so the contact info is outdated. I plan to post pictures of recruiting activities in the near future. Also here is the down low on the new AFRAP program. Pass it on!

Air Force Recruit Ambassador Program (AFRAP) (CALLING ALL HS JUNIORS) what is it?

A program that allows juniors in high school to begin the process of joining the Air Force Who it is for?

All current HS juniors who are at least 17 years of age (need parental consent) How long does the program last?

The AFRAP runs from 1 June 2015 through 30 September 2015...

What are the advantages?

During this small window (Jun-Sep) qualified HS juniors will go through pre-qualifications, ASVAB testing, the medical physical, and swearing in. Once sworn-in, these HS juniors have an opportunity to reserve a job prior to entering their senior year of HS. Those who successfully swear-in can relax because they now have a great career waiting for them after graduating HS. The junior will also have a fixed date to leave for Basic Military Training. Another major advantage is that juniors under the AFRAP DO NOT compete for jobs with HS seniors or grads.

If you know anyone who is a HS junior and is or would be interested in this program, please have them call me at 347-466-1473 or email me at roberto.garcia.9@us.af.mil

Respectfully,

Roberto L. Garcia, SSgt, USAF
