Established in 2006, the Hillcrest Aquatic Center is a recreational facility that serves children, adults and families. The center features a water canon, wet sand area, swimming pools and locker rooms, as well as parking facilities. Its swimming pools include diving boards, water walls and small-sized slides. The Hillcrest Aquatic Center also organizes a variety of programs that includes lap swimming, water walking and aqua aerobics. In addition, the center provides its party pad on a rental basis. It is managed by the Park, Recreation and Forestry Department, which is governed by the City of Brookings in South Dakota. The Park, Recreation and Forestry Department is responsible for the plantation, removal, replacement and maintenance of the city s boulevards and parks.
