Therese Kerwel, MD, is a surgeon with Ascension Medical Group. Dr. Kerwel is board-certified in both colon and rectal surgery, and general surgery. She provides surgical care to patients aged 16 or older. Dr. Kerwel has a special interest in colorectal cancer; inflammatory bowel disease; diverticular disease; anorectal abscess and fistula; hemorrhoids; rectal prolapse and screening/surveillance colonoscopy. Her priority is to help patients treat their disease, improve quality of life, and provide outstanding surgical care. Outside of the office, Dr. Kerwel enjoys spending time with family, swimming, exercise and healthy cooking.
