Dr. Levy graduated magna cum Laude from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.Read moreUnlike most providers, who use a single approach to treat all patients, Dr. Levy's clinical research career allowed her to develop expertise in multiple therapeutic modalities. Her training has also made her an expert at identifying the right treatment for each patient. In addition to her training as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Levy is a long-standing student of ancient wisdom traditions. Many of these are now earning status as scientifically-validated treatment adjuncts. Meditation and mindfulness training, for example, cause observable changes in brain function, feeling, and behavior. As an adjunct to therapy, Dr. Levy may offer you meditation training or mindfulness-based stress reduction training (MBSR).Some therapists encourage patients to remain in treatment for years or longer. Dr. Levy never extends treatment unnecessarily. She has found that for many people, working in time-limited chunks is more effective than open-ended treatment. In addition to her practice, Dr. Levy has served as a medical expert on television programs on NBC, Fox-on-Health, and the OWN network. In her spare time, Dr. Levy enjoys spending time with her children, playing classical and electric guitar, trail running, and reading.
