General Info
The Bronx Jewish Community Council offers a range of social services for more than 5,000 low-income residents of Bronx in New York. The council supports the English as a Second Language program, as well as provides job training and development services. It is a member of the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty and the UJA-Federation of New York. The Bronx Jewish Community Council also supports an emergency rent and food assistance program. Founded in 1972, the council provides case management, crisis intervention, entitlement counseling and health promotion services. Additionally, it offers advocacy and outreach solutions, as well as organizes various community cultural events.
